Dog Walking AM

Description

Spend quality time with our incredible shelter dogs!

If this is your first time volunteering for dog walking, there will be a short 10-minute training session at the start of the shift!

Our morning dog walking program offers enriching one-on-one time with our canine companions. We ask volunteers to spend 20-30 minutes with each dog, allowing them to choose activities that match both the dog's energy level and their own comfort level.

Enrichment options include:
• Leisurely walks around the property
• Interactive play sessions, such as fetch
• Companionship time in our secure yard
• Jogging with approved dogs
• Bike rides with suitable candidates

For safety and security, all activities must take place within our designated property boundaries. This policy ensures both volunteer and animal safety while providing our dogs with the exercise and attention they eagerly anticipate each morning.

Please watch this video on dog body language prior to first shift.
